The Wolverine films in Vancouver this November.

Hugh Jackman and the cast of THE WOLVERINE are headed to Vancouver this November to film through March 2012, according to The Vancouver Sun.

Early in development, the film was originally planned to shoot in New York and Japan. This move to Vancouver may indicate that filming in Japan will be limited, if done at all, compared to original plans.

Jackman recently told IGN Movies “It starts shooting in mid-October. You know James Mangold is directing it. You know it’s set in Japan. We have not really cast it yet, so there’s not a lot to tell you. Any other elements of the script I tell you, I’d have to kill ya.”

With an acclaimed script by Christopher McQuarrie, THE WOLVERINE follows Logan as he treks Japan and falls in love with a woman whose hand has already been promised to another. The claws come out when Logan finds himself in an all-out battle after her father summons the Silver Sammurai and other powerful legends of the X-Men universe to take him out.

  1. I can’t really see them going to Japan to film any of this movie as that country is still recovering from the Earthquake and radiation fall out from the Fuskshima Nuclear Power Plant which is still leaking radiation.

  2. I think it is very stupid to assume that Japan as a whole is going through problem with earthquake and radiation. It’s like saying the whole of England was on the verge of collapse after the incident a few weeks ago.

  3. Not just Yet Ken coz we don’i know her news until the sun come,s up
