X-MEN: FIRST CLASS actress Jennifer Lawrence announced the nominees for the 2012 Academy Awards and unfortunately ‘First Class’ did not make the cut. The film was present on the Academy’s top ten shortlist of films in the running for the “Achievement in Visual Effects” nomination, but ultimately did not make it to the top five.

Fellow 20th Century Fox film RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES did earn a nomination (congrats to them) along with “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2,” “Hugo,” “Real Steel” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.”
