Amalgamated Dynamics recently posted their makeup designs for Blob in 2009′s X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. Played by Kevin Durand, the character was first shown as a muscle-bound mutant, who eventually gained tons of weight.
The challenge of taking Blob off the comic page and putting him in front of the camera was developing a look that was massive, but powerful. The script required him to be huge from overeating so it couldn’t all be muscle. And it had to work as a practical effect that actor Kevin Durand could bring to life.
