Hugh Jackman on living up to Wolverine’s legacy.

HughLogan

After playing Logan for five films (soon to be seven), Hugh Jackman tells Empire Magazine that he still feels they have not captured Wolverine at 100%, compared to his comic book counterpart. Hugh is hoping that changes with THE WOLVERINE, saying…

“I still don’t think we’ve seen the definitive Wolverine. And the longer I play the character, the more the desire to get him right grows. The more I speak to fans and explore his world, the more it means to me. I understand the character and the legacy and I don’t feel, up to this movie, that we’ve completely lived up to that. So that’s what I intend to do.”

Do you think Hugh has portrayed the “definitive” Wolverine?

  2. he’s a good actor and all, but sadly he wont ever be comic Wolverine.

The franchise version is a gentleman compared to comic version. But on another hand, the older he gets, the closer he would be. so… lets see if Fox and Singer call him again some years after Days of future past
