Nightcrawler in DOFP was once “maybe” going to happen.

Nightcrawler-AlanCumming

Belfast Telegraph — When asked about his exclusion from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, Nightcrawler actor Alan Cumming says “There was a time when it was maybe going to happen, but I wasn’t available so it didn’t happen.” He isn’t crying tears over it, as he loathed the time-grueling makeup process, saying “I’m not dying to get back into all that make-up and be dangling from wires and having a tail.”

Despite this, Cumming still confesses that he really loved X2, saying “Don’t get me wrong, I thought it was a great film, but it wasn’t my favorite experience of my life.” If they did ask him to return, he says he still “would give it a go.”

  1. I would have loved to see Alan back as Kurt Wagner. He did a nice job in X2. I hope Brian surprises every one with his presence in the movie.

  2. the bottom line is “He doesn’t want to be part of the X-men again.” it sad to admit but that’s what it is.. I think they should get some new actor, to portray him.. that’s the only choice..

  3. Out of topic.

With the advent of SHIELDS agents on TV and Warner/Fox getting the GOTHAM TV series shaped and ready… isn’t it time for the X-Men to get a proper TV-treatment?
They could easily set up a series in the X-Men film universe continuity using known and unknown characters having the opportunity for cameos of our movie heroes.

I think this is worth an article ;)

  4. ^ Translation: I am waiting for him to appear in this amazing movie for this one. Please let this happen and re-sign Alan Cumming to be Nightcrawler again, and Famke Jassen too.
