X-Men: First Class Gets UK Release Date; New Details

RWD Magazine reports that X-MEN: FIRST CLASS will open in the UK and Ireland on June 2nd, a day before the June 3rd release in the USA.

The cast listing on the site also lists two possible tidbits in regards to Kevin Bacon and Rose Byrne’s characters. Bacon is listed as ‘Dr. Schmidt/ Sebastian Shaw’ and Byrne as ‘CIA Agent Moira McTaggert’.

In August, director Matthew Vaughn told MTV that “[Bacon is] not going to be what you expect at all when you first meet him in the film, you will be surprised that it’s him.” and recent rumors swirled the internet saying that Oliver Platt’s ‘Man in Black’ would have involvement with McTaggert. This appears to give some credibility to those reports.

  2. May I ask if we fact checked this information? This is all rumor and speculation.

The only CIA ties I could think of is if Oliver Platt’s character is Joseph MacTaggart and works for the agency. Then I could see Moira being some how involved with secret research and then leaving him for Charles Xavier. Again just a silly guess.
