X-MEN: APOCALYPSE director Bryan Singer instagrammed a new photo from the film, which reveals that Blob will appear during the 1982 East Berlin mutant fight club scene featuring Ben Hardy’s Angel and Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler. Judging by the pic, Fred J. Dukes isn’t in the best of shape (literally and figuratively), with slashes and cuts covering his “seemingly” lifeless body.
Last August, it was revealed that Blob would make his on-screen appearance portrayed by “a French-Canadian dude, 540 lbs (one solid big fat guy).”
Kevin Durand previously played the role in 2009’s X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.
Starring James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/ Mystique, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Lucas Till as Havok, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Ben Hardy as Archangel, Lana Condor as Jubilee and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven with the help of Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
