LEGION showrunner Noah Hawley gave fans a behind the scenes sneak peek at his new X-MEN universe TV series for FX. It shows “Downton Abbey” actor Dan Stevens as David Haller, a man diagnosed with schizophrenia, who has struggled with mental illness since he was a teenager. But everything changes when he meets the girl of his dreams—a fellow patient—and is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
Eight episodes have been ordered for season one based off the strength of the show’s pilot. Production is being handled by FX Productions in association with Marvel Television.
Cast also includes ‘Fargo’ alums Rachel Keller as Syd and Jean Smart as Melanie, along with Aubrey Plaza as Lenny, Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy, Bill Irwin, Katie Aselton and Amber Midthunder.
It’s set to air early 2017 on FX.
