“The Power Is Real” in New LEGION TV Spot

FX Networks has released an awesome-looking promo for their upcoming X-MEN universe based series LEGION! This new spot shows actor Dan Stevens as David Haller, sitting in a pool water with armed guards surrounding him. “So is he crazy?” says one voice. “He believes he’s mentally ill, but at the same time part of him knows…the power’s real.”

This particular scene was previously teased by executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner on Twitter.

Premiering February 2017, “Legion” introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. Based on the infamous Marvel Comics character, Legion is known as the illegitimate son of X-Men founder, Professor Charles Xavier.

The show also stars Rachel Keller as Syd Barrett, Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker, Jean Smart as Melanie, Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy Wallace, Bill Irwin as Cary Loudermilk, Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk and Katie Aselton as Amy Haller.
