South Korean actor Rain drops out of X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX.

Popular South Korean actor and singer Rain (Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin) has dropped out of 20th Century Fox’s upcoming X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX due to scheduling conflicts.

The news was revealed by fellow actor Lee Beom Soo, who told local newspaper JoongAng Ilbo that Rain was up for an unspecified role, but left after learning that filming conflicted with his other project (Uhm Bok-dong) which runs through August.

It’s unknown which role Rain was going to play, but producers are surely on the rush to find a replacement.

“Dark Phoenix” begins production this July in Montreal and runs through October.
