It’s common knowledge among many X-Men fans that 20th Century Fox’s legendary mutant franchise has limited ways to advertise their films in the merchandising department. Marvel holds the rights for promotional products like toys, video games and clothing. When the films first started out, we had action figures, games and the whole lot. But then the relationship between both companies seemingly ran a little sour, and fans had barely anything to purchase.
Now it seems both Fox and Marvel are becoming friendly again with recent collaborations on successful television shows like LEGION and THE GIFTED. The X-Men even have a much larger presence in the comics now than they did a couple years ago when rumors ran rampant that Marvel higher-ups wanted to lay low on developing new X-Men and Fantastic Four titles because it would provide free promotion for a rival studio’s properties; luckily that appears to be over.
Hopefully next year we’ll get to see more products being released for upcoming films like THE NEW MUTANTS, DEADPOOL 2 and X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX. When X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and X-MEN: APOCALYPSE were released, we were treated to food tie-ins, a Hanes underwear campaign and other random promos like men’s shaving products.
As a homage to those truly epic food campaigns, XMFC has crafted a few ideas for where they can go next for director Simon Kinberg’s DARK PHOENIX.

Trask Industries has captured Mystique (again) and turned her into a burger. Enjoy a blue patty topped with cheese, fresh tomato, lettuce and mayo on a sesame seed bun.
Prepare for a fiery treat with hot wings tossed in our secret signature sauce, made with 100% mythological Phoenix meat.
This is no ordinary ketchup. Our optic-red sauce contains a blast of tangy flavor.
