{"id":2136,"date":"2011-02-09T18:33:02","date_gmt":"2011-02-09T18:33:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xmenfilms.wordpress.com\/?p=2136"},"modified":"2011-02-09T18:33:02","modified_gmt":"2011-02-09T18:33:02","slug":"x-men-first-class-cast-strived-to-beat-each-other-in-gym-workouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/x-menfilms.com\/?p=2136","title":{"rendered":"X-Men: First Class cast strived to beat each other in gym."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>X-MEN: FIRST CLASS actor <strong>Lucas Till<\/strong> detailed his workout regimen in issue 21 of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vman.com\/blog\/lucas-till-next-action-star\/\" target=\"_blank\">VMan Magazine<\/a> and says that he wanted to look as athletic as his charater Alex Summers appears in the comic books.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->&#8220;I warm up my shoulders with a couple of three-minute boxing rounds.&#8221; says Till. &#8220;Then we move on to various body parts without working the same muscle groups we worked the day before. I finish with abs. Then a quick stretch and maybe a protein shake and I\u2019m finished for the day. And I do this five days a week.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Till says many of the cast members set records in the gym and made charts listing their physical fitness accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It keeps everyone constantly striving to beat everyone else, so there\u2019s always a reason to get into the gym.&#8221; he continues. &#8220;I am currently ahead of Edi Gathegi [who plays Darwin in First Class] by one.
