X-MEN: APOCALYPSE<\/a> writer\/producer Simon Kinberg<\/strong> tells Entertainment Weekly<\/a> that the film’s 1983 setting will lend itself to some interesting possibilities, most notably the potential for a Dazzler<\/strong> appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the era that I grew up in,\u201d he says of the 80’s. \u201cThe music, the fashion, the videogames: We really want to integrate all of that in the movie, and have it infuse the movie with a different vibe.\u201d Does this mean they\u2019ll finally find some room for disco clubkid Dazzler? \u201cCould happen,\u201d laughs Kinberg. \u201cWe\u2019re certainly looking at mutants that would fit into the period.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alison Blaire aka Dazzler is a pop singer mutant who has the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams. She was created by writer Tom DeFalco, illustrator John Romita, Jr., Louise Simonson and Roger Stern. She made her Marvel debut in Uncanny X-Men #130 in 1980.<\/p>\n
