To me it feels like we\u2019re making not just a comic book movie, but a historical record that can capture the zeitgeist as it is right now in film.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On referencing the comics on screen, \u201cThere\u2019s lots of stuff in there that people are going to love and get,\u201d he continues. \u201cAnd then there\u2019s lots of things in there that, maybe [for] some of the audience that\u2019s not initiated to Deadpool, might go over their head.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RHk977KUqAw?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p>Many are wondering if &#8220;the merc&#8221; will crossover with future X-Men films, especially considering characters like <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Colossus_%28comics%29\" target=\"_blank\">Colossus<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Negasonic_Teenage_Warhead_%28comics%29\" target=\"_blank\">Negasonic Teenage Warhead<\/a> are in the mix. &#8220;That\u2019s a damn good question,&#8221; he says to <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/selfless-interview-ryan-reynolds-shedding-deadpool-crossovers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Screen Rant<\/a>. &#8220;You tell me. It would be kind of hard, wouldn\u2019t it? Because you have a character \u2013 let\u2019s say you have a character who knows he\u2019s in a comic book movie, that sort of breaks the fourth wall [and] has a tendency to kind of say people\u2019s real names instead of their characters\u2019 names. How do you introduce that into another universe that\u2026does not do that? So\u2026I don\u2019t know. I\u2019d be curious to say. I\u2019m not saying that\u2019s not going to happen. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s going to happen.
