Marvel Studios (and 20th Century Studios?) DEADPOOL 3<\/a> is now in development with director Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and writers Rhett Reese<\/strong> and Paul Wernick leading the charge, and with that comes new territory for everyone’s favorite merc with a mouth<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking with The Post Credit Podcast<\/a><\/strong>, Reese revealed that one aspect of the screenplay features Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) as being a “fish-out-of-the-water.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for fish-out-of-water,” he said. “Deadpool is a lunatic at the center of a movie. To drop a lunatic into a very sane world, it’s straight butter. It’s going to be really fun.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be interesting to see how Deadpool navigates his way through a new universe. It’d be cool if his time-traveling antics at the end of Deadpool 2<\/em> came into play, but there’s also a whole multiverse thing consuming the MCU, if you haven’t heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filming on part trois commences early next year for release in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
