Since FoXverse Wolverine is dead, it’s unknown if the character we meet, like Earth-838 Charles Xavier, will be a variant or returning from the afterlife. Deadpool has to find his way into the MCU, so it’ll be exciting to see how this is achieved.

Are any other mutants expected to appear? That’s under guarded secrecy, but rumors point to Zazie Beetz’s Domino and maybe even Josh Brolin’s Cable making a return in some capacity. Why stop at Wolverine? Wouldn’t it be awesome if he was joined by Halle Berry’s Storm, James Marsden’s Cyclops, Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey, and Anna Paquin’s Rogue? That would be a dream, but we’ll have to wait and see!

One interesting theory is studio head Kevin Feige using this legendary crossover to debut the MCU’s proper Wolverine. Perhaps Jackman himself will help with in casting a new actor in the role moving forward, as his reprisal is believed to be a limited one.

Check out this funny string of tweets where Reynolds, Levy, and Jackman nonchalantly share the jaw-dropping news.

Hard keeping my mouth sewn shut about this one. ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/OdV7JmAkEu
— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) September 27, 2022

So, ummmmm….yeah.⚔️ https://t.co/QMNqXgu9Nu
— Shawn Levy (@ShawnLevyDirect) September 27, 2022

Yeah, sure. pic.twitter.com/LaSBjDeLjI
— Hugh Jackman (@RealHughJackman) September 27, 2022

Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine for DEADPOOL 3!
