Thanks to Collider<\/a> we have a new X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel quote from Charles Xaiver himself, James McAvoy<\/strong>. The actor says his character will face many challenges in the next film and explains why it’s important to make a sequel for the right reasons.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve heard a little bit about what\u2019s happening.” says McAvoy. “The director has got a fantastic idea for what the story will be. I can\u2019t really tell you what it is because we may or may not make that, but we\u2019ve got to do something intelligent with it. I can\u2019t speak for Michael\u2019s character, but for my character, he\u2019s got some major shit to deal with. He\u2019s just been paralyzed and he\u2019s been betrayed by the person who he\u2019s probably come to care about more than anybody else in the world, and he\u2019s the guy who did it to him.”<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s a huge thing that we have to deal with and we need to see that. If we don\u2019t see that, I feel like it would just totally wallpaper over the fact that this guy has been completely physically compromised. That\u2019s an important thing for me. Other than that, I don\u2019t know. We\u2019re still waiting for Fox to greenlight it. I think what they\u2019re doing really well is that they\u2019re not just rushing ahead and making another one because it did well. They are just trying to get a decent story together. If they don\u2019t get a decent story together, then we probably won\u2019t do another one because it can be a stand-alone film. We shouldn\u2019t just make another one because we want to make some money. There needs to be a good script there.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
