Many are wondering if 20th Century Fox will decide on continuing with the original X-Men trilogy cast in X-MEN 4. Iceman actor Shawn Ashmore recently told Phoenix Movie Examiner that while he hasn’t heard anything, he’s still under contract to return if needed:
“I am still under contract to play Iceman if they make another ‘X-Men’ movie but there are so many superhero films out there right now. The market is saturated with them. I would love to come back and play that character again, though. It was really unique to sort of grow up playing a character. As I was growing up and maturing, so was the character. But it was an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I hope that we get chance to make another ‘X-Men movie but I really do not know if we will. I guess we will just have to wait and see.”
Interesting to know the contract options have not expired!

He does not have to return. They should just put Gambit and some of the newer mutants that have been brought in by X-Men First Class.

this is getting stupid! What the hell is Fox waiting for? Everyone and there Mom wants an X-MEN 4!!!!! Wake up Fox! Or give the rights to Marvel and let them continue the story!
i agree with Nick without insulting ofcourse for me let the games begin in another X-men film like 4 if this autor continue he role i say let him in WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR THEY STILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GO ON LET THEM DO IT!!!!!!!
Uhm, I see no point in him returning, sure he can return but as a teacher? Nah that doesn’t fit.
agree Marvel Fan but nobody says neither of this Actor Shawn Ashmore that he doesn’t want,s to be a teacher of that film X4 only contunes he,s character role as an Ice-men Hero or Warrior that,s all like all he,s mutants warrior ot heroes friends he ask for he doen,t wana be a teacher he wana continues he character as an Iceman that,s all and i say let him do it let him continues as a iceman that would be awesome continues this four film of X-men that would be fun for all of us
He is one of the missing pieces of the puzzle in x-men.. we need him!
