Bryan Singer on Peter Dinklage: “He’s not going to be CGI.”

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST director Bryan Singer recently told IGN that Peter Dinklage’s role is definitely not for that of Puck, the Canadian mutant member of ‘Alpha Flight.’ It was reported that Dinklage would play the main antagonist in the film, reportedly Bolivar Trask or his brother, Simon, creators of the mutant-hunting robots known as the Sentinels. Singer confirms one thing… he’s definitely not going to be a CG creation.

“He’s not going to be a CGI character,” he said. “He’ll be himself. Not that he’ll be playing Peter Dinklage, he’ll be playing this character. It’s not a shy character. He’s just such a phenomenal actor; I’m a huge fan of Peter’s and Game of Thrones. He was my first choice and I was really happy [about the casting]. It’s so funny to talk to him because he does that impeccable accent [on Game of Thrones] and then you talk to him and he’s this guy from New Jersey.”

Singer also says to expect more announcements re: an actor he’s currently negotiating with and confirmation on the “younger” mutants of the film.

Will Cyclops, Jean and/or Storm get the “First Class” treatment?
