It’s here! 20th Century Fox has released a brand new trailer for THE WOLVERINE, which you can watch below or via the film’s official YouTube channel. The 2:25 preview debuts theatrically with “Fast & Furious 6” this Friday.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern-day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.
Directed by James Mangold, written by Mark Momback and Scott Frank, story by Christopher McQuarrie, the film stars Hugh Jackman as Logan, Rila Fukushima as Yukio, Tao Okamoto as Mariko, Will Yun Lee as Silver Samurai, Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shingen, Brian Tee as Norubo Mori, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, and Hal Yamanouchi as Yashida.

So the big question is.. Was that giant Silver Samurai a robot?

I love Jean’s scene, but why would Famke say a flashback when it seems like a dream? I guess we’ll wait and see. I’m going to love it, I know I will.
WOW! First question, why is the Silver Samurai so big and like Transformer robot???? Why???
Second, what happen to Viper? She’s a human in the comics and even in TV series, why did she have a snake tongue lately? Is she now a mutant?
She definitely appears to be a mutant in this film. By birth or through science (as Ken said) is the question. She’s immune to toxins and has snake-like features and abilities. My guess is Marvel also has the rights to the character, so maybe they took liberties with her for this film?
I watched the trailer many times and I’m pretty sure that.. That gigantic SIlver Samurai is a robot or an android.. It can’t be a suit.. It’s too big to fill a small person in there..
As for Viper.. I think she mutate herself in this one.. She’s a scientist so I think she experimented herself and become this serpent like creature..
I just can’t wait til July.. I hope there are more big surprises coming..
No, it is a man in a suit. Case closed.
There was a second Silver Samurai in the comics who had a technologically-advanced suit, so maybe they’re going that route.
Judging by the trailer, Shingen (Hiroyuki Sanada) is in the traditional Samurai outfit, so Kenuichio (Will Yun Lee) must be in the mecha-looking suit… or at least controlling it.
Just look closer in the picture below.. It can’t be a suit.. Its more like a robot in a Reel Steel movie.. But I’m still keeping my finger crossed that it was a suit than a remote controlled robot.
Especially at the joints, eh? Maybe he controls it remotely? That would kinda suck though. We’ll see…

I guess the story goes as follows.
We start with the POW sequence in 1945. Logan saves Yashida’s life. Then he wakes up, in bed with Jean. The scene from the trailer follows and he finally wakes up in the real “now” in the Yukon wilderness.
