Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST actor Peter Dinklage, who plays the villainous Bolivar Trask – creator of the mutant hunting robots known as the Sentinels. Dinklage revealed his first impressions on playing a villain, saying…
“I didnโt want to play the villain,” reveals Dinklage. “[Trask] is a man of science. Heโs a man of invention. He actually sees what heโs doing as a good thing โ [his ambition is] definitely blind and heโs quite arrogant. Heโs strove all his life for a certain respect and attention.”
Founded in 1967, Trask Industries’ Sentinel program was created to combat the mutant threat through “genetics-based defense technology” and advance human progress and superiority by protecting the race from extinction.
“Heโs up against Richard Nixon. Heโs got some hurdles.”
