Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST actor Peter Dinklage, who plays the villainous Bolivar Trask – creator of the mutant hunting robots known as the Sentinels. Dinklage revealed his first impressions on playing a villain, saying…
“I didn’t want to play the villain,” reveals Dinklage. “[Trask] is a man of science. He’s a man of invention. He actually sees what he’s doing as a good thing — [his ambition is] definitely blind and he’s quite arrogant. He’s strove all his life for a certain respect and attention.”
Founded in 1967, Trask Industries’ Sentinel program was created to combat the mutant threat through “genetics-based defense technology” and advance human progress and superiority by protecting the race from extinction.
“He’s up against Richard Nixon. He’s got some hurdles.”
