New photo gives closer look at Ink’s Phoenix tattoo in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

Promoting the Digital HD and upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, 20th Century Fox has released a new close-up still of Gregg Lowe as Ink! While the character’s alluded to as being a mutant in the film, in the comics, he’s a regular human who is granted powers from the body markings given to him by a mutant tattoo artist.

Get a better peek at the Phoenix force tattoo he’s sporting on his face. In the comics, this tattoo allows him to use a facsimile of the Phoenix’s powers. [Wiki]

Hopefully Ink continues on to APOCALYPSE so we can see more of his abilities.
