The story behind this Mystique photo from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

Some folks have been asking about this X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST photo of Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique standing inside Cerebro. The scene was not included in the theatrical cut of the film and does not appear on next week’s Blu-ray release. Maybe next year’s extended edition?

The film’s screenplay has Mystique arriving to the Xavier mansion to ask Charles why Magneto attacked her in Paris. She spends the night and, disguised as Charles, sneaks into the lower levels of the mansion to access Cerebro. Once she enters, she destroys Cerebro’s internal components and shatters the helmet so Charles will be unable to track her. After discovering the damage caused by Mystique, Charles, Beast and Logan assume she’s heading to Washington DC to confront Trask at the Sentinel presentation.
