Famke Janssen feels “bittersweet” about Jean Grey recasting.

X-Men vet Famke Janssen told MTV that she isn’t sure if Elle Fanning would be the best actress to play a younger Jean Grey in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. “I love Elle Fanning, but I don’t see about this much resemblance,” she said. “Well, maybe with a red wig or whatever.” Fanning, along with Chloe Grace Moretz and Hailee Steinfeld are reportedly testing for the role, though it’s unknown which other actresses are in the mix.

“It is a little bitter sweet,” she said on being replaced with another actress, “but I’ve seen what they’ve done with the younger and older Magneto and Professor X… I think I’m in good company.”
