X-MEN: APOCALYPSE actress Alexandra Shipp instagrammed that she’s preparing for her role as 1983’s Storm by researching the Marvel Comics from past and present. “You might be wondering what someone would do when they’re sick on a Saturday night,” she says in a video with her laying on a pile of comics. “…homework.”
She’ll have a few months to get ready, as filming begins this April in Montreal.
She joins Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) and Oscar Isaac (En Sabah Nur) as new actors in the ever-expanding X-Men film franchise.
‘Apocalypse’ hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
