“It does draw on some comic book stuff,” Hugh Jackman reveals to MTV when asked about the third solo chapter of the WOLV3RINE saga. “There are some things [from the comics], but in typical fashion, sort of one main [story idea] with a few bits here and there and then opening it up. Jim [director, James Mangold] and I, we’ve been talking about it, he has a treatment. But I mean, we’re a way out from it so we’re in really good shape with it. I’m really, really excited about it.”
Jackan also reiterates his interest in Patrick Stewart joining the fray as Professor Xavier, saying “I’d be thrilled if he was part of it because I think that relationship is key.”
The film is scheduled for a March 3, 2017 theatrical release.
