James Mangold’s WOLVERINE sequel films next year.

Director James Mangold revealed to @R_0_B_89 that production on WOLV3RINE begins “early next year,” most likely around this time next year, for a March 3, 2017 theatrical release.

Before that, Hugh Jackman will film scenes as an alternate Wolverine for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, which begins production this April for a May 27, 2016 theatrical release. Jackman is not leading this film and details on the size of his role are unknown.

The actor avoids answering Collder’s question about his workload on the film or if he’s even involved (he is).
