Moviefone caught up with Oscar Isaac, who plays the villainous En Saba Nur in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The actor says being a fan of the comics led him to reaching out to the film’s producers for a chance at the role.
“My first comic book I ever collected was “X-Factor” and I actually really loved Apocalypse,” said Isaac. “So when I heard that maybe that would be the next villain, I was like, ‘Guys, get me in there, I want to meet with them.’ Apocalypse is so cool and weird and scary and I wanted to be a part of that.”
When asked if he’ll perform motion capture for the unique-looking character, he teased “I’m going to be on set, although I don’t know the details of the whole situation.”
In other news, Digital Spy asked new Jean Grey actress, Sophie Turner about her portrayal of the character and how she’ll add her own “little twist” to what Famke Janssen’s done with the role.
“[X-Men has] such a loyal fanbase, kind of like the Game of Thrones fanbase,” she said. “I feel very at home with a loyal fanbase and I just hope that I make them proud.”
