According to The Hollywood Reporter, newcomer Brianna Hilderbrand has been cast as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in DEADPOOL. Who? The obscure character is a mutant telepath with precognitive abilities. She was created by Grant Morrison during his run on Marvel’s ‘New X-Men’ before being killed off and resurrected as a Hellfire Club member for Joss Whedon’s ‘Astonishing X-Men’ comic.
This is Hilderbrand’s first major acting gig. She’s currently undergoing physical and stunt training for her part, so it appears to be an action-packed role.
The film is currently undergoing production in Vancouver for a February 12, 2016 theatrical release.
