Latino Review’s Umberto Gonzalez tweeted a scoop regarding the search for a director to helm Channing Tatum’s GAMBIT solo film. Tatum, who’s also a producer on the project, allegedly seeked out directors Bennett Miller (Foxcatcher) and Darren Aronofsky (Noah), who both passed on the offer.
It’s apparent Tatum and producers are going for some big names. Hopefully one will catch. The film is being written by Josh Zetumur, based off a treatment by comic creator Chris Claremont. It’s the third X-Men related entry due in 2016.
Thievery commences on October 7, 2016.
