Hugh Jackman appeared on Dr. Oz today to discuss his history with skin cancer and also confirmed to the host and audience that his third WOLVERINE movie will (sadly) be his last time playing the character.
“It just felt like it was the right time to do it, and lets be honest, 17 years…” he said. “I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it. I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in the last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.”
Jackman is rumored to appear in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE in some capacity and may have cameos lined up for DEADPOOL and GAMBIT, though that’s just speculation at this point.
