Before heading off to the set of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE to “shoot the awakening of Apocalypse” with Oscar Isaac, director Bryan Singer took to instagram early this morning to answer fan questions in an impromptu Q&A session. He provides interesting insight into the making of the film, discusses plans for Comic Con and THE ROGUE CUT, and considers his future with the franchise.
Below are some of his responses:
“It’s actually going amazing on the set, the cast get along fantastically! That’s not always the case. But for some reason everybody just gets along so well and is so much fun. However when the cameras start rolling they go full professional!”
“You will definitely see characters unleash their powers much stronger and bigger than ever before in this movie, that I promise.”
“I guess there will be an after credits scene, but I haven’t figured out what it is yet.”
“I appreciate what you’re saying, and yes I am truly lying in bed sitting here not able to sleep. I have to get up in 10 minutes anyway and take a shower and head to work. And as I said this morning I shoot the awakening of apocalypse and I’m kind of excited to talk it through with Oscar, he’s such a great actor.”
“I never say never, I love this universe and it keeps drawing me back into it. So who is to say if I will make another one.”
“Sophie is amazing onset and also has become a friend.”
“You might see a few things at, con if I can make it there to Hall H. Regarding storm that is and other things.”
“I hope to screen the Rogue cut while I’m there so perhaps I’ll be able to introduce it and maybe even answer questions I don’t know what the format is yet.”
“Actually I’m going to screen the Rogue Cut. I just don’t know the specific format. I hope to be there!”
“I’m keeping Quicksilver on his own for a while, but she may show up one day.”
“I have no idea what’s at the end of the road, to me these are more films that have action in them as opposed to simply comic book films, so I’ll always be partial to just making interesting films. if they happen to be based on comic books, then so be it!”
“Okay, it’s five minutes to go before shower time and then off to the set! Thanks for all the cool conversation! I hope I don’t piss anyone at Fox off, ha ha I just simply couldn’t sleep and really really appreciated your company.”
