“We have a script. A full script,” Hugh Jackman recently revealed when asked by Collider about the status of his final WOLVERINE film with ‘The Wolverine’ director James Mangold. “Two days ago I got the full finished [script]. Well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps it’s sooner rather than later.”
When exactly does he expect to start production on his #OneLastTime as Wolverine? “I don’t have a firm date yet,” he insists. “My thing – and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one – for me, I want it to be perfect. So the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go.”
The film is currently scheduled for March 3, 2017.
No word yet if Jackman has any secret cameos planned for next month’s DEADPOOL, May’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE or the upcoming GAMBIT spin-off.
