Boyd Holbrook cast as lead villain in WOLVERINE finale; production kicks off soon.

Deadline has learned that “Narcos” actor Boyd Holbrook has won the role of the lead villain in director James Mangold’s next WOLVERINE film. He will join Hugh Jackman in his reported final outing as the berserker mutant.

Holbrook’s character is described as a “relentless, calculating and intense head of security for a global enterprise.”

Production is scheduled to begin this May; location currently unknown.
