James McAvoy shaves head to go full-on Professor Xavier in latest X-Men featurette.

Check out this behind the scenes featurette from X-MEN: APOCALYPSE showing “Charles Xavier” actor James McAvoy shaving his head for the first time to match that of his older counterpart, Patrick Stewart. Director Bryan Singer is seen nearby with Stewart watching via his smartphone.

McAvoy might want to get used to the bald head,m as producer Simon Kinberg has mentioned to Collider that “Right now, as the movie exists, Professor X would be a part of a NEW MUTANTS movie.”

The film stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/ Mystique, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Lucas Till as Havok, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Ben Hardy as Archangel, Lana Condor as Jubilee and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse (Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
