Longtime X-MEN film producer Lauren Shuler Donner revealed the official title for Fox and Marvel’s upcoming TV action-adventure based within the mutant universe.
Titled THE GIFTED, the Bryan Singer-directed pilot will deal with two parents (actors Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker) who learn that their children (Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White) have extraordinary abilities. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, they find refuge with an underground network of mutants, who join them in their mission.
Filming is taking place in Dallas, where cast have arrived to begin filming. Shuler Donner shared a photo of them doing a read through of the script, written by showrunner Matt Nix (Burn Notice).

Besides the main family unit and other newly-created characters like Eclipse (Sean Teale) and Jace Turner (Coby Bell), the show will feature major staples from the X-Men world. Well known and popular characters Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung) and Polaris (Emma Dumont) have roles, along with the mutant-hunting robots known as Sentinels.
