Variety reveals that artist, model and actress Lauren Tsai (Terrace House: Aloha State) has joined the third season of FX’s LEGION series, which is based in the X-Men universe. Her role will be that of Switch, a new character that’s described as “a young mutant whose secret ability serves as the key to executing David Haller’s plan.
Season three is currently in production and will air Fall 2019. The series stars Dan Steven as David Haller, Aubrey Plaza as Lenny Busker, Rachel Keller as Sydney Barrett, Jean Smart as Melanie Bird, Jeremie Harris as Ptonomy Wallace, Bill Irwin as Cary Loudermilk, Amber Midthunder as Kerry Loudermilk, Jermaine Clement as as Oliver Bird, Hamish Linklater as Clark Debussy and Navid Negahban as the Shadow King.
Showrunner Noah Hawley serves as executive producer with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb, John Cameron and longtime X-Men film producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg. The show is co-produced by FX and Marvel Television with FX handling production.
Legion introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.
