Kevin Feige confirms R rated DEADPOOL 3 and existence within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While we were on hiatus, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed with Collider journalist Steve Weintraub that DEADPOOL 3 will indeed be Rated R and part of the legendary Marvel Cinematic Universe. The third entry will also feature writing duo, sisters Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux (TV’s Bob’s Burgers) penning the sreenplay with star Ryan Reynolds overseeing to ensure things are just weird enough.

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now…,” said Feige. “It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

Colossus actor Stefan Kapicic is remaining hopeful that him and Deadpool’s other co-stars (Cable, Domino, Negasonic Teenage Warhead) will make the leap from 20th Century Fox to Marvel/Disney, simply tweeting an emoji looking cool with sunglasses. There’s no word if that’s actually the case though, given mutants unknown placement within the future MCU.

In related news, Reynolds has Deadpool AND Bernie Sanders on his mind. The actor posted a meme of the United States Senator next to his merc with a mouth.
