Wolverine voice actor Cal Dodd reveals that he’s recording dialogue for X-MEN 97, the Disney+ revival of the popular animated series which ran for five years on Fox Kids from 1992 to 1997. “Guess what I was doing in the studio today? SO great to be back,” he tweeted.
Set to release in 2023 on Disney’s popular streaming platform, the Marvel Studios show will continue where the original left off. Many of the original talent will return, including Rogue actress Lenore Zann, who also tweeted a photo from her recording session.
Original series producers and showrunners Eric and Julia Lewald are returning as consultants, along with director Larry Houston. Beau DeMayo will serve as the new head writer and executive producer, with Jake Castorena as supervising director, and Charley Feldman as supervising producer.
Along with Dodd and Zann, voice actors George Buza, Alison Sealy-Smith, Chris Potter, Catherine Disher, Adrian Hough, and Christopher Britton are returning, with new additions including Jennifer Hale, Anniwaa Buachie, Ray Chase, Matthew Waterson, JP Karliak, Holly Chou, Jeff Bennett, and AJ LoCascio.
