A new TV spot for Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has officially arrived! The “cameos” commercial previews Professor X’s iconic yellow/gold hover chair from the 90’s comics and legendary original animated series.
Does this confirm that Patrick Stewart will portray Charles Xavier from the animated universe? We’ll have to wait and see on that, but with Disney+ giving us X-MEN ’97 in 2023, it wouldn’t be surprising if it featured a direct tie-in to the MCU. Afterall, at the end of that series, Xavier left Earth with Lilandra and the Shi’ar to heal and experience new adventures.
The spot features another spoiler or two re: characters in the film, so tread lightly!
Multiverse of Madness arrives in theaters May 6.
