Marvel Studios will give fans an exclusive look at X-MEN ’97 during this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego on Friday, July 22 at 11:45am – 1:15pm PST! Brad Winderbaum (head of streaming, television and animation), Ryan Meinerding (head of visual development), and special guests will dive into all things Marvel animation.
But that’s not all for X-Men animation! A day earlier on Thursday, July 21 at 5:45pm-6:45pm PST, X-MEN: THE ANIMATED SERIES producer and director Larry Houston will join writer Steven Melching and Marvel Legends packaging artist Dan Veesenmeyer to celebrate the 30th anniversary and discuss the behind-the-scenes production of the ’90s X-Men series.
An X-Men Fandom Panel will take place on Saturday, July 23 at 3pm-4pm PST. The creators of X-Reads Podcast will host a panel of professionals and fans of Marvel’s mutants: actress Lenore Zann (Rogue, X-Men: The Animated Series), artist Ken Lashley (X-Men Prime, X-Men Gold), toy influencer Shartimus Prime (Russ Akin), professional costume artist roleplayer/cosplayer Alicia Marie, and fan artist Art of Lucas. Audience members will receive a collectable art print by X-Men: The Animated Series artistic director, Larry Houston. Moderated by Chandler Poling and Chris Riley (X-Reads: An X-Men Experience).
