Giancarlo Esposito wants Professor X role, but feels “there may be some mileage” with Marvel Studios.

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Mandalorian and Better Call Saul actor Giancarlo Esposito reiterated his interest for the coveted role of Professor Charles Xavier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “I want to play a good guy. Charles is smart. He’s good. But I feel as if there may be some mileage with me and Marvel,” he revealed about past meetings with Marvel Studios. “I know I love what they do. I know I love creativity. So who knows what could happen?”

Esposito is famously known for his villainous roles, but it’s clear he’d like to expand and try something new. Professor X would certainly fit that bill! His message to the fans who support this casting idea? “Keep putting it out there.”
