The Wrap exclusively reports that Marvel Studios will NOT have presentations at this year’s Comic Con International in San Diego, which runs from July 20-23. The studio is still expected to have some kind of presence on the convention floor, but it’s best to lower your expectations when it comes to any DEADPOOL 3 reveals.
The current writers strike could play a factor into this absence, as Marvel has multiple projects on pause until an agreement is reached between Hollywood and the WGA. These include films like ‘Blade’ and ‘Thunderbolts,’ along with Disney+ shows ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘Wonder Man.’ ‘Deadpool 3,’ ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ and an ‘Agatha’ series are currently filming.
There’s also potential for a SAG-AFTRA strike, meaning actors wouldn’t be able to promote their films.
Maybe next year…
