X-Men fandom across the globe united on September 16 and 17 at the Minneapolis Club in Minnesota for THE UNCANNY EXPERIENCE, an immersive X-fandom convention produced by Giant-Size Productions. According to the website, the two-day event transports fans into the universe of mutantkind, to build community, and give a platform to the creators, artists, and actors of the mutant universe to interact with and educate attendees.
Guests included X-Men film actor Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), comic book mastermind Chris Claremont, animated Rogue voice actor Lenore Zann, animated Wolverine voice actor Cal Dodd, X-Men: The Animated Series director Larry Houston, artist Nathan Szerdy, X-Men: The Animated Series creators Eric & Julia Lewald, original animated Jubilee voice actor Alyson Court, Starship Troopers/Deadpool The Musical 2 actor Casper Van Dien, famed artist Dan Veesenmeyer, writer Chris Sims, artist Bob Quinn, and artist Ale Garza, among others.
The team who put this all together include X-Reads: An X-Men Experience podcast co-hosts Chandler Poling and Chris Riley, House of X podcaster Dylan Carter, fashion designer and co-founder of Kakkaoicon Samantha Rei, and House of X admin Regina Givens.
