the SUPER🦸 — Variety has a piece on the behind the scene troubles for Warner Bros’ AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM, which you can read here, but nestled within that article is a not-so shocking revelation about James Gunn and Peter Safran‘s DC Universe. According to the trade, none of the actros from Zack Snyer’s Justice League will return for Gunn’s semi-reboot. This includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, and presumably Ray Fisher as Cyborg (who isn’t mentioned). Mamoa isn’t completely out, as he’s in talks to portray Lobo in either SUPERMAN: LEGACY (2025) or a solo film. Gunn is keeping Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, who’s getting her own series on Max, along with the actors he cast in projects like THE SUICIDE SQUAD and PEACEMAKER.
