Speaking with The Post Credit Podcast, director Shawn Levy reiterates that DEADPOOL 3 doesn’t cancel out the events of LOGAN. Respecting the critically-acclaimed Wolverine finale helmed by James Mangold was of great importance to Levy and returning star Hugh Jackman.
“Logan is canon,” he said. “We love Logan. That happened. I want the world to know, as the producer and director, all of us share a deep love and respect for Logan, every aspect of how it’s crafted, and the events that take place.”
In a film dealing with the multiverse and variant timelines, it’s easy to see how the story can bypass the events of Logan without having him claw his way out of a grave.
