the SUPER🦸 — DC Studios’ James Gunn took to social media to confirm his film SUPERMAN: LEGACY remains on track for its July 11, 2025 release date. The after-effects of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes means that several Hollywood pictures will shuffle their dates, with even Marvel Studios doing so with four of their upcoming films.
“Thanks to the efforts of our talented crew, who never lost faith during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never let their foot off the pedal, continuing to barrel forward, creating the most amazing character and set designs I’ve seen in my entire career,” he wrote in a heartfelt message.
Written and Directed by Gunn, the film will star David Corenswet as Clark Kent aka Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion As Guy Gardner aka Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt aka Mr. Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan As Rex Mason aka Metamorpho.
