Speaking with Deadline about his role in LOKI season two, actor Ke Huy Quan opened up about his full circle moment with Kevin Feige and the world of Marvel. If you didn’t already know, Quan actually worked on the first X-MEN film as an assistant action coordinator; Feige was an associate producer working for longtime producer Lauren Shuler Donner.
“[Feige] told me about Loki,” said Quan about being cast for the Disney+ sequel series. “He told me about the MCU. He spoke [with] so much passion and enthusiasm in his voice. It brought me back to the day when I met him for the very first time on the X-Men set when he was just an associate producer, and I was an assistant action choreographer…He loves this universe so much. He has such a vast knowledge of this universe. And little did I know only 23 years later, I get to work with him. I get to play a wonderful character.
Quan’s acting career received a resurgence after the popularity of Everything Everywhere All At Once, where he received an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
