Appearing on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, ‘First Class’ actor Michael Fassbender reflected on his time as Magneto under 20th Century. “I think I had a great run, and I thoroughly enjoyed it,” he said. “By the time Dark Phoenix [came out], yeah, it was like, I was lucky. We had a fantastic run of it.” Fassbender went on to say he enjoyed his time portraying the character, and that X-Men “sort of came to its own natural conclusion.”
Of course, Marvel Studios (who know own the film rights) are bringing the FoXverse mutants back in the coming years. With the original cast already slated for DEADPOOL 3 and upcoming AVENGERS films, fans wonder if the second generation cast will get any more love on the big screen? It would be great to see Fassbender back with James McAvoy, as their chemistry was a strong factor of the series.
There’s more in the video (starting at 35:43), including Fassbender describing things he does when interacting with fans in public.
