Appearing on Josh Harowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, longtime Professor X actor Patrick Stewart reveals that it was “frustrating” filming his cameo scene for DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (2022). “I think the big scene, each of of the leading actors had the same experience,” he said. “They were shot on their own. It was frustrating and disappointing, but that’s how it has been. The last few years have been challenging.”
Even though Charles Xavier seemingly perished in that appearance, another return to the big screen in DEADPOOL 3, KANG DYNASTY or SECRET WARS is a definite possibility as he’s mentioned as being alive in THE MARVELS after credits scene. “It has come up,” Stewart said, noting that it has been a “process” due to various factors. “The last two or three years have been so difficult with the labor problems and the health problems and Covid.”
The Professor has been killed four times on screen now; so maybe we can get a happy ending where he rolls off into the sunset this time?
